Fantasy YC is a community-built bracket game where players rank every Y Combinator company into tiers before Demo Day. After Demo Day, brackets score based on actual valuations: exact tier hits earn the most, contrarian Breakout calls earn the most of all. It's built for YC Twitter and the startup-curious, and is not affiliated with Y Combinator.

The longer story.

Fantasy YC started as a side project for YC Twitter: a way to put your reputation on the line by ranking the batch before the rest of the world sees it. Players draft every company into one of five tiers, lock the bracket before Demo Day, and get scored when the funding data lands. It's free, it's permanent, and it's how you find out which YC posters actually know what they're looking at.
